Malaysia will hold elections after the corona virus (Covid-19) pandemic ends in the country. This was emphasized by Malaysian Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin, Saturday (28/11).
"God willing, if Allah allows it, when the corona virus pandemic ends, we will again hold general elections," Muhyiddin said as quoted by AFP.
Muhyiddin said this at the United Party general meeting which was held virtually on Saturday. Muhyiddin is also optimistic that the United Party and its allies will again win votes in the next election.
"We will seek a mandate from the people, and let the voters decide for themselves who their chosen leader is," said Muhyiddin.
To realize his party's political ambitions, Muhyiddin has also met a number of figures, including one of them UMNO President Ahmad Zahid Hamidi to strengthen the alliance.
"We cannot be divided. We must not fight among ourselves," said Muhyiddin.
